The third edition of Hope in Hell (Firefly Books), a widely acclaimed portrait of the Nobel-winning humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders, was published in 2010.
Wild Blue, a natural history of the blue whale, was published in the US in 2008 and in Canada in 2009. The Smithsonian Institution has called it "quite simply one of the best books ever written on any whale."
Dan's journalism has appeared in Maclean's, MoneySense, Financial Post Magazine, Canadian Geographic and More, and can be found in recycling boxes everywhere. His work has been nominated for five National Magazine Awards since 2010.
Dan also hosts a blog on investing called Canadian Couch Potato. In 2011, it was selected by The Globe and Mail as the best investing blog in Canada.
